Frequently asked questions

If you do not see your question answered here, please email us or give us a call.

What is the most common support from ComputerKin?

Many people struggle with making sure their computers and smart phones are set up correctly. And many people want to make better use of their technology. That is where ComputerKin can really help.

Will ComputerKin work with more than one person during an in-person visit?

Absolutely! With two Helpers on site at every visit, we will gladly work with whoever needs help. We charge for time, not for the number of people helped.

Does ComputerKin work in Senior Living, Nursing Homes, and Group Care organizations?

Absolutely! We need to know in advance if we need clearance or approval. And we can work with individuals or we are happy to schedule longer visits if the facility wants us to work with groups.

Are there services ComputerKin will not provide?

We will NOT handle banking or financial data for a customer. We want everyone to be protected. And we will not work with adult content or illegal content.

What if the person needing help has cognitive or neurological impairments?

Our requirement is that the person we are meeting with needs to be able to communicate and can make decisions on their own behalf. In cases where this is not true, we ask that a family member, legal caretaker, or other trusted adult is present.

How does payment work?

You must have an active credit card (we use Square for maximum security) on file. We charge 1 hour minimum and past the first hour, we bill in 1/2 hour increments. We will charge in full at the conclusion and post the receipt to the customer’s account.
