We help with your devices. What does this include?

• If it is electronic and comes with a manual, odds are good we can help. We can help set up and fix your computers, laptops, smart phones, tablets, smart speakers, smart TVs, and more. Though if you need help setting up a VHS player, you might be out of luck. 😊
• We will get security features set up on your devices. We will make sure you are password protected, have anti-virus protection, have malware protection, and more.  And we document everything we do and the history available to you.
• We will get you set up with a password keeper that both you and loved ones can access. Part of security is making sure you have the support you need. And losing passwords is the worst.
• We will clean up your screens. Too much clutter? Too many apps? Is it hard to find your favorite apps? We will ensure that you are set up for success.

We help manage your apps and programs.

• Do you want to ensure that your apps are set up successfully? We can help. Whether it is a transportation app like Lyft or a food delivery app like Uber Eats,  we can ensure that things are configured correctly and ready to go.
• Need help setting up Zoom, Facetime, or even messaging. We can help. These are incredibly useful tools, but with a bit of assistance, we can make sure you all set.
• Do you like movies, TV shows, and music? We can help you set up all the apps you want for entertainment and fun. And if you have too many of these apps, we can help you manage your subscriptions.
• Do you love reading? How about listening to books? We can get you set up with apps (or even devices) that let you take in all the content you want. And we can get you connected to the library system so that you can get books, audio, and more.
• Do you like to travel? We can get you set up with the travel apps you need to make it all happen? Whether you want to go to NYC or across the world, have travel apps makes it easier, and we can help.

We set you up for success around personal wellness, health, and safety

• Wish you could easily do telehealth appointments? We can make sure your system is set up properly and is ready to go.
• Wearables are the best. But they can be confusing and hard to set up. We can help you pick out and order the best wearable for your needs. And we can get it set up and configured. Things like fitness tracking, fall detection, and more are all available.
• There are apps just for managing your meds and medical appointments. We can help you get those configured and set up. And if you want, we can also ensure people you choose have access to this information. It takes a community sometimes.
• Could you use some help with meal planning, with eating healthy, and with grocery shopping? There are solutions for all these things, so if you want some help, we are here.
• Smart doorbells, home monitoring, and other tools exist to keep you and your family members safe and healthy. But getting these set up can be a challenge. We would love to review options and get you set up for success.

What don’t we do?

Honesty, integrity, and trust are the cornerstones of what we do for you.  So that also means we are always going to tell you the truth about what we can… and cannot do for you. What does this include?

• Major computer work. Sometimes your computer will need more than we can do for it. If that is the case, we will notify you and will even bring the computer into our partner shop for service.  If, for example, you are hit with a particularly bad virus, that will likely need bench work.
• Repairs or other work on hardware. If what you need involves taking apart a device, we will bring your device to a repair shop if possible. But we will never take apart a device in your home.
• Anything Illegal. If it even comes close to breaking the law, we will not do it.
• Anything involving banking or finance.  We trust our employees. But there is too much risk when people share their finances. We can offer training and guidance, but we will not directly interact with your finances.
• Anything involving sexual content. Not that there’s anything wrong with it, but this is not something we will assist with.
• Any abuse, bullying, or cruelty. Every Helper is trained to treat people with kindness, respect, and compassion. And they expect to be treated the same. We will always be nice to you, and we expect the same in return.
