Stop autostart apps in Windows 11 startup settings

The place to stop the application that starts automatically when Windows 11 starts is in the application settings or task manager startup, and you can stop automatic startup by disabling or turning off the startup setting for each application. This page introduces settings for startup apps that automatically start at startup. Open app startup settings

Click the Start button, then click Settings in Start.
 Click “Apps” to display the app settings screen.
 Click Startup.

Operate by clicking the switch button of the app name in the list of startups. By clicking the switch button of the app name and turning it “Off”, you can stop the selected app from auto-starting and disable its startup.

If you set the switch button of the desired application to “ON” in the startup settings, it will start automatically after signing in.

Task Manager has been redesigned in version 22H2 , so 21H2 and 22H2 are explained separately.

Right-click the Start button and click Task Manager on the menu.
If Task Manager is in simple view, click Details.

When Task Manager appears, click on the “Startup Apps” icon.

If the “Status” display is “Disabled”, the startup app has stopped auto-starting. Click the app you want to stop startup to select it.
 ” Disable” in the menu becomes active, so you can stop the automatic launch of the app and disable startup by clicking it.
 When you click “Disable”, the “Status” display changes to “Disabled” and “Disabled” changes to “Enabled”.

If you want to enable startup auto-launch, select a disabled app and click “Enable” to auto-launch it after sign-in.

When Task Manager appears, click the Startup tab.

If the “Status” display is “Disabled”, the startup app has stopped auto-starting. Click on the app you want to stop staring up and select it.
 The “Disable” button becomes active, so you can click it to stop the automatic launch of the app and disable its startup.
 When you click “Disable”, the “Status” display changes to “Disable” and the “Disable” button changes to “Enable”.

If you want to enable startup auto-launch, select a disabled app and click “Enable” to auto-launch it after sign-in. ■ The setting to stop/start the automatic startup of startup will be reflected after the next startup sign-in.

Auto-starting apps not in startup settings
If there is no display of the auto-start app in the startup settings, and you cannot set the settings such as disabling auto-start, it may be registered in the registry or folder type startup. Please refer to the following page and check.
